Hi, I’m Sarah

…and I love food.

As a kid, I found endless hours of joy perusing my mom’s cookbooks and browsing Pepperidge Farm catalogues (it was pre-internet times!).

In college, I started gathering friends for dinner parties. That’s also when I started collecting a few of my own cookbooks.

Hundreds of cookbooks later, I have spent the last 12 years working in the food world as a gleaner, food pantry/soup kitchen leader, and community organizer. See, I think food is downright precious, and everybody deserves to enjoy all that it has to offer - nourishment, connection, celebration, fascination, cultural understanding, and even the occasional taste-based disappointment.

I love to cook for people - to enhance community meetings, to delight friends, to contribute to a meal train for a family when they’re going through something. And I love to cook for myself - to celebrate a special ingredient, get creative with an abundant farmer’s market haul, stretch my skills, or supply myself with a few healthy options for the week.
